Gambling help, exclusion schemes and helplines
Casinos are designed so that the house wins over time. If gambling is costing you more than you can afford — in money, time or peace of mind — help is free and confidential.
Keep it in proportion
- Set a budget and a time limit before you enter a casino, and stick to both.
- Treat any money you gamble as the cost of entertainment, not an investment.
- Never chase losses or borrow to gamble.
- Results boards and “hot” streaks predict nothing — every hand and roll is independent.
- Take breaks, eat, and avoid gambling when drinking or upset.
Singapore
The National Council on Problem Gambling runs the National Problem Gambling Helpline, 1800-6-668-668, and a webchat service. Self-exclusion, family exclusion and visit limits apply across Singapore’s casinos. Singapore citizens and permanent residents also pay an entry levy intended as a safeguard. See ncpg.org.sg.
Macau
A 24-hour gambling counselling hotline operates on (853) 2823 0101, and the Social Welfare Bureau’s treatment service can be reached on (853) 2832 3998. Self-exclusion and third-party (family) exclusion from casinos are available through the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ) and via responsible-gambling kiosks in casinos.
Philippines
PAGCOR maintains the National Database of Restricted Persons and handles self and family exclusion requests. Okada Manila publishes PAGCOR’s responsible gaming line, (02) 8538-9090. See pagcor.ph.
New South Wales, Australia
GambleAware NSW offers free, confidential support 24 hours a day on 1800 858 858. Self-exclusion is available through the casino and state schemes. See gambleaware.nsw.gov.au.
International
Gambling Therapy provides free online support in many languages for anyone affected by gambling, wherever they live.
Helpline numbers were checked in September 2026; confirm them with the organisations listed if in doubt.
